George Lin, MD, is the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Quality Officer, and Vice-Chair of the Department of Medicine at Pascack Valley Medical Center. He also remains in medical practice in the areas of pulmonology and sleep medicine.

Dr. Lin grew up surrounded by many healthcare providers who have a deep understanding of the intricacies and complexities of healthcare delivery across various nations and cultures. He believes the insights he has gained in the concept of good care, the impact it has on patients, their families, and caregivers, and the necessary elements for a long and rewarding career.

One of his greatest strengths and the foundation of his care approach is his ability to be an effective listener. He demonstrates a great deal of respect and sympathy for his patients and their families. Dr. Lin believes the best course of action is to be a clinician who is willing to listen and understand their patients’ experiences. He provides care to a wide range of patients and feels that the long-term relationships he’s built with his patients are what bring him the greatest joy and professional satisfaction.

He attended Boston University where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Medical Science. Dr. Lin later attended the Rutgers University New Jersey Medical School where he received his Doctor of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Critical Care Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, and Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Lin dedicates his leisure time to exploring the world around him. His enthusiasm for discovering new places and the unique experiences they offer is unparalleled. He has visited numerous countries and has created lasting memories through his travels.
