Earlier, I wrote a review for the entire practice, also 5 star, but Dr. Leonard Silverstein merits his very own accolades. He represents the very best in those that practice medicine, and his staff and other people in his group are exemplary in their care and concern for patients. No rushing,they listen to your concerns and ask questions to ascertain what's going on. Even at the end of a long day, time is given to make sure that the patient's needs are addressed. However, patients must contribute to their own well being...ask questions and indicate concerns, cost or otherwise. I had very serious asthma in young adult hood and was often hospitalized including stays in intensive care and sub intensive care. My health was deteriorating...In my 40's, a friend recommended Dr. Leonard Silverstein who was new to his practice, and I have been thankful ever since. Dr. Silverstein's treatment of me has been transformative....he eased me back from a precipice and I have NEVER been hospitalized since first meeting him. Over the years, he has tweaked my medications, recommended therapies, and always taken the time and made the effort to let me know he cared about me, my family and my health. He was our daughter's doctor as a child (she is now 30 and moved away) and she continues to speak very highly of him. For years, he has tried to wean me from a particular drug that allowed me to breath and do day to day tasks...mainly because the drug had side effects, and I was having flair ups....but none of the ones we tried worked (he provided me with free multi week samples, and I just couldn't breathe normally with them...with some, could not walk across the room). But, he continued trying ...finally Success!... a month ago, he recommended another product, provided me with a multi-week supply, and it was amazing. I am 73, walking quickly up and down stairs, dancing at parties (10 fast dances, and 2 slow last week in one night), taking long walks with my family and exulting in Good Health....all of which I owe to this wonderful doctor, Leonard Silverstein. He is always kind, keeps up with the latest procedures and medications, CARES about costs (he saved me over $1100 on a drug by working with the pharmacy, and changing the strength and dosage) , and most importantly makes his patients feel that they are important to him. Without reservation, I recommend Dr. Leonard Silverstein, Asthma & Allergy Specialists for any age.

The front office ladies were professional and hospitable. They greeted me with warm smiles and had me fill out some office specific paperwork. They also used the DocFind form that I completed, but due to the specialty of the practice there were some things not covered by the general forms. After completing forms I was seen by the Doctor's assistant who took my vitals and then set me up in the exam room. Dr. Silverstein came in shortly thereafter and assessed my situation. he was patient and understanding. He took the time to explain my circumstance and I left his office feeling more at peace than when I arrived. Highly recommended office. A Plus all around.
